Woodbine Racecourse is a thoroughbred and harness racing facility in Rexdale, Ontario, Canada that has three tracks. It is widely acknowledged as Canada's premier horseracing track.
Woodbine Racecourse is home to two of the three gems in Canada's Triple Crown. The Queen's Plate, the oldest continuously run stakes race, and the Breeders' Stakes, the third gem, are both run at Woodbine Racecourse. The middle stakes race is the Prince of Wales Stakes which is run at Fort Erie Racetrack.
Other famous races held at Woodbine Racecourse include the ATTO Mile; the Canadian International and the North America Cup for standardbreds.
The first thoroughbred race was held at Woodbine Racecourse on June 12, 1956 while the first harness race was held on January 1, 1994. Attendance-wise, the largest ever recorded for thoroughbred racing was 42,243 and 7,266 for harness racing.
Woodbine Racecourse has a total seating capacity of 13,000 and a stabling capacity of 1,860 stalls.

Woodbine Racecourse History
1874 - The original Woodbine Racecourse racetrack opened on the then-far eastern outskirts of Toronto.
1956 - On June 12, the new Woodbine Racecourse track opened to thoroughbred racing.
1994 - On January 1, Woodbine Racecoursetrack welcomed harness racing.
2000 - Slot machines were introduced at Woodbine Racecourse track.
